[edit] Usage

This template is intended to be placed at the top of articles about living persons that are lacking reliable references, and therefore in need of immediate attention. If the article is not about a living or recently deceased subject, you may wish to use {{Refimprove}}.

This template also includes support for using the date parameter. Adding this parameter sorts the article into subcategories of Category:Articles lacking reliable references and out of the parent category, allowing the oldest problems to be identified and dealt with first.

This template additionally adds the article to Category:BLP articles lacking sources. This allows editors who keep an eye on biographies and BLP concerns to find articles in need of attention quickly.

Listed below are the two options for usage.

{{BLPsources}}

{{BLPsources|date=June 2008}}

[edit] Advantages

  • {{BLPsources}} is easy to use.
  • Marks BLP articles in need of immediate attention.
  • Draws attention to the requirements of articles about living persons.

[edit] Disadvantages

  • Editors should be bold and address biographical concerns.
