[edit] Staff

I strongly disagree with revisions to this page that delete information about notable staff to the school. As I mentioned to another contributor here, the activities with which some of the staff members are involved in contribute to the overall nature of the school - they are worth noting. Should we delete lists of academics at universities and the work they do? If people want to know MORE about the school, one thing they may want to know about is who some of the teachers are. This also applies to alumni who want to know about some of the current faculty members and what they are doing in their respective professional fields. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cougar616 (talkcontribs) 03:34, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

I disagree that all staff at any school or university are notable. Although they're far from perfect, our notability guidelines for academics should provide you with guidance in determining if these academics are notable (as academics); otherwise, our normal notability guidelines should apply or provide guidance (one should not have to be notable enough to deserve an entire article just to be mentioned in another article as that's an unfair standard). If some of the staff are indeed notable then a brief mention here may be warranted. But the listing that has been removed was way out of hand.
Please remember that this is an encyclopedia article. If alumni or others want to know more about this school, they should visit the school's website or read the local newspaper. --ElKevbo 03:42, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
