Judy Bloom is actually Judy Blume, so I removed her from the list. It could be argued that it's the same name (especially as the article notes she's of Jewish descent), but then it could be argued that Blum is the same name too... Input? --Galaxiaad 17:20, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps Judy Blume should be mentioned somewhere on this page in case someone who has only heard the name ends up here. Likewise Steven J. Blum. What is Wikipedia's official policy on this? --- Trevie 17:43, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
In the Smith article, it's handled by a "See also" for each alternative, such as Smyth. --Orange Mike 14:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
