Themes

The section near the bottom, that talks about the 'themes' of the play, sounds like a high school assignment. It needs to be replaced with serious analysis, rather than talk about 'the theme of Individual vs. Society'. Good playwrights do not write plays with 'themes', they create characters, situations and dialogue which can suggest extraneous themes. Good criticism rarely refers to 'themes', which more often than not signify dumbed-down reductionism on the interpreter's part.--165.228.138.234 06:24, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
