A blot can refer to several different things.
- In biology, a blot is a method of transferring proteins, DNA, RNA or a protein onto a carrier. The following types are known:
- Southern blot to recognize DNA
- Northern blot to recognize RNA
- Western blot to recognize proteins
- Southwestern blot
- In the board game backgammon a blot is an unprotected checker.
- Another name of a trick-taking card game Belot
- In ancient Norse religion a blót was a blood sacrifice to the gods or elves.
- and, following the meaning above, in Ásatrú, a blót is a sacred meal shared with the gods.
- Blot, an album by Einherjer.
- Blot, a song on the album Redneck Wonderland (1998) by Australian group Midnight Oil.

- B.L.O.T. stands for the Basic Love Of Things - a live electronica and visuals acts based out of New Delhi and Bangalore. BLOT has been around since 2007 and has been playing in clubs, events, festivals and experimental gigs. They have also been featured in print and TV media as one of the new faces of the Indian Electronica scene. A collective comprising electronic music producers, VJs, DJs, artists, photographers and designers, BLOT is the independent work initiative of Quicksand - a multidisciplinary design studio in India.
