Bloso

Bloso is the shortened name for the Belgian Flemish sports agency. Its official name is the Commissariaat-Generaal ter Bevordering van de Lichamelijke Ontwikkeling, de Sport en de Openluchtrecreatie. It is the flemish counterpart of French-speaking ADEPS. From 1956 to 1969, both organisations were part of the state-founded INEPS.
Bloso has several responsibilities:
- support the topsport in Flanders
- divide government support funds over sports federations and clubs
- operate the 13 Blosocentra
- organize training for sports trainers
- organize Bloso Sportkampen
- organize De Gordel
