Bloso

Bloso is the shortened name for the Belgian Flemish sports agency. Its official name is the Commissariaat-Generaal ter Bevordering van de Lichamelijke Ontwikkeling, de Sport en de Openluchtrecreatie. It is the flemish counterpart of French-speaking ADEPS. From 1956 to 1969, both organisations were part of the state-founded INEPS.

Bloso has several responsibilities:

  • support the topsport in Flanders
  • divide government support funds over sports federations and clubs
  • operate the 13 Blosocentra
  • organize training for sports trainers
  • organize Bloso Sportkampen
  • organize De Gordel
