Blooding Mask is an ambient, classic, atmospherical project blessed by Maethelyiah. It started in 1992 when she used to live in Italy. Since 2001 it is now based in Wiltshire, UK and benefits from the healthy lay lines of The Avebury's circle of stones. Currently compounded by Maethelyiah and Awen-hotep, Blooding Mask is now celebrating the 15th year of music and magic.

Blooding Mask is a mixture of dreams into music and music into dreams and magic formulae and the lyrics are written in verious languages such as English, Italian, German, French, Theban, Rumanian and recently Russian. The music is mainly electronic and contains plenty of multioctave choirs all recorded by Maethelyiah.

Blooding Mask remains the top project and is still producing new music. Blooding Mask obtained excellent reviews from international magazines and featured in the publication Hex Files - The Gothic Bible of Mick Mercer see his page on Wikipedia here

Along with the lyrics in many languages, more originally the project features some magic formulaes included in some of the tracks and most important the music were conceived in dreams. It seems like Maethelyiah can dream of Blooding Mask music, and records and performs them afterwards.

Another particularity of the Blooding Mask sound is a study on the quarters of tunes experimented through the choral arias in some of the Blooding Mask tracks. Blooding Mask is now recognized for the unique style and remains an icon between the bands that forged the Gothic style in the nineties and that still produce music currently. see Gothic rock on Wikipedia here
