Blogger
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about the adjective used to describe blog writers. For blogging service with the same name, see Blogger (service).
A blogger is a person who writes blogs (or weblogs). The word was initially used in the name of a website, launched in 1999 from Pyra Labs, San Francisco called "www.blogger.com". This website provides the tools for creating blogs (weblogs). After users select a pre-designed template or create one with their look and feel, every posting entered on Blogger is published to the Blogger page on their website automatically. In early 2003, Blogger was acquired by Google.
In 2005, Blogger Mobile was introduced, allowing users to post photos and text messages via mobile phones. Audioblogging is another innovative feature. After signing up, users can call a number, speak, and the sound file goes to their blog.
