An article in the Rutherford Journal[1] states that the DIAHTENSOR layout (also known as the "Ideal" layout) was attributed to John Hammond. --StuartBrady 22:49, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Looking at this again, I think that this is a mistake in the Rutherford Journal article... so I'm not sure exactly who invented it, now. --StuartBrady 17:03, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
