blist is an online social database founded in March 2007. blist is a simple database for non-experts that is hosted on the Internet. The look and feel of blist is similar to that of a spreadsheet, but users can join tables together, create nested tables, and store a binary large object like a photo or a document. blist also layers on social networking features that allows a user to find interesting data created by other people either to browse, or to use as template for organizing their own, similar data.
blist is located in Seattle, Washington, USA and received its initial 'A' round of venture capital funding of USD6.5 million from Morgenthaler Ventures and Frazier Technology Ventures in February 2007.[1]
blist launched at the DEMO 2008 conference in January 2008[2]
