The Blind River Beavers are a Tier II Junior "A" ice hockey team from Blind River, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.

From 1966 until 1981, the Elliot Lake Vikings played in the International Junior B Hockey League.
The Elliot Lake Vikings played their first Tier II Junior "A" game in 1981. After 2 years in NOHA Junior "B", the Vikings won the 1983 McNamara Cup in only their second year in the NOJHL. In the Ontario Hockey Association Final, they took on the North York Rangers of the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League and lost 3-games-to-2. The Rangers went on to defeat the Thunder Bay Flyers for the Dudley Hewitt Cup and went further to win the National title, the Centennial Cup.
After 1991, the Elliot Lake's results went for the worst In 1997, they changed their name to the Ice, but a name change did not change the lackluster results. In 1999, the team's owner picked up his franchise and moved it to Nickel Centre. They only played one season in Nickel Centre and again it was not a good one. Again in 2000, the team was moved, but this time to Blind River. They celebrated their franchise's first winning record since 1998-99 during the 2004-05 season.
