Blind Justice (TV series)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Blind Justice is an American television series about a blind New York City police detective, created by Steven Bochco. It was introduced mid-season in March 2005 to fill the time slot left by Bochco's highly successful NYPD Blue, which had just aired its final episode after a twelve year run.

Despite heavy promotion from ABC, Blind Justice failed to capture that series' audience. It was cancelled in June after only thirteen episodes. Many criticized and mocked the show for the unrealistic portrayal of a blind police officer carrying a gun. In fact, the show's concept had been initially introduced as a joke by Bochco in his novel Death By Hollywood. During Eldard's guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, fellow guest Adam Carolla showed a fake clip from his new "show", in which Carolla portrayed a blind firefighter.
