Blight can have several different meanings:

  • Blight, the disease affecting many species of plants.
  • Blight (urban), the term for abandoned, derelict, or severely neglected buildings and lots; slums.
  • The Blight, a fictional, nightmarish place in the northern reaches of Randland in The Wheel of Time fantasy series by Robert Jordan.
  • Blight (Warcraft), the diseased ground on which Undead structures must be built. Analogous to Creep, which serves the same function for the Zerg.
  • Blight, the supervillain name adopted by Derek Powers in the Batman Beyond animated series.
  • In the fictional Outpost 2 universe, the Blight is the term used to describe the malfunctioning terraforming microbes created by the Eden colony.
  • The Blight is used to describe a group of diseases originating from Red Mountain in The Elder Scrolls universe.
  • Blight, a term in the book Worlds of the Imperium often related to as a spacial grid, and/or dimensional gateways in means of crossing the universe.
  • Straumli Blight or The Blight, a malevolent quasi-Power in the Vernor Vinge's novell A Fire Upon the Deep.
  • Dr. Blight, a villain in the animated series Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
