Bli Panika

Bli Panika (Lit.: Don't Panic, a reference to Douglas Adams' Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy) is a long-running Israeli webzine of speculative fiction edited by Rami Shalheveth. It publishes a mix of original Hebrew short stories and translated fiction (primarily, but not exclusively, from English). It also publishes non-fiction including articles, reviews and interviews.
It is the primary source of translated short speculative fiction in Israel, having published stories by Ted Chiang, Kelly Link, Gene Wolfe, Kage Baker, Michael Marshall Smith, Greg Egan, Jeffrey Ford and many others.
In addition to publishing many original Hebrew short stories, Shalheveth had also edited two projects that are in effect original themed anthologies:
Galgal Ha'mazalot (Signs of the Zodiac): Thirteen short stories by Israeli writers including Vered Tochterman, Nir Yaniv, Guy Hasson and Lavie Tidhar, each taking as their subject one of the signs of the zodiac - Hasson contributed the thirteenth story, for a non-existent sign.
Beyn Ha'zmanim - Be'chazara Le'aspamia (Between Times - The Return to Aspamia): stories taking as their inspiration the poetry of the Golden Age of Hebrew poetry (in the Middle Ages).
In 2006 the webzine had moved to its own domain and to an improved interface using WordPress
