Blex Forer is a fictional character appearing in the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam series of the Gundam universe.
[edit] Background
A tall dignified man with a passing resemblance to Abraham Lincoln, Blex Forer was a former Commodore in the Earth Federation and later a senator based in Dakar, Senegal, the Federation's capital. With the formation of the Titans after the Delaz affair, Blex was one of the first to see the increasing corruption in the Earth Government. He used his senatorial position to influence certain executives of Anaheim Electronics to fund an anti-government movement. Anaheim, whose business interests were partially disrupted by the trade embargoes placed by the Federation on the colonies saw this as feasible. Thus Blex Forer became the founder of the Anti Earth Union Group or AEUG.
Blex Forer would continuously clash wills with Titans leaders Jamitov Hymem and Bask Om in their brutal tactics against spacenoids. Blex operated from the ad-hoc flagship of the AEUG, the Argama, closely working with Henken Bekkener as co-captain.
Upon formation of the AEUG, One of the first people Blex contacted was former Zeon officer Char Aznable who would assume the alias Quattro Bajeena while working for AEUG. Blex, of course was already aware of Quattro's dual identity and hoped that Char would eventually come out as himself and assume his rightful place in the movement against the Federation. This would not be realized until a secret conference on Earth with AEUG sympathizers. Unfortunately, later that night, Quattro, upon returning to the hotel, heard a gunshot and ran to Blex's room only to find him shot by an assassin. Blex, with his dying words, persuaded Quattro to assume his rightful name of Char Aznable and take on leadership of AEUG.
