Blencoe Falls
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Blencoe Falls are located on a tributary of the Herbert River, 2km north of the confluence, within the Girringun National Park in Queensland, Australia. They can be accessed by road from either Kennedy on the Bruce Highway or from Mount Garnet on the Kennedy Highway. It's about 70km west of Kennedy. The road from Kennedy soon changes from bitumen to a narrow and poorly maintained gravel road but about half way the road does improve again upon crossing a shire boundary. The main drop of the falls is about 90 metres and they cascade for another 230 meters to the base of the gorge.
