Bleeding Fist are a (self defined) chaos metal band from Izola/Koper (Slovenia)
[edit] Biography
Bleeding Fist, name inspired by the first Anthrax album – Fistful of Metal – began their musical career in 2005. The aim was simple: they wanted to play fast and aggressive music to leave an indelible sign. The band was born from an idea of Etienne Chelleri (guitar and vocals) and Simon Dermota (bass). Alex Destradi (drums) joined soon after. They played songs of HC/punk inspiration written by themselves, even if they always wanted to play thrash metal in its most aggressive, filthy and dark form. After some months Matej Latin (guitar) joined and Bleeding Fist recorded two demos, “Suffocated Madness” and “In Your Face” with this formation.
“Primordial Need”, a pure example of old school black/thrash metal, marked the turning point between HC/punk and thrash. This song was also included in the Slovenian metal compilation On Parole vol. 2.
The band was labeled as immoral and offensive because of the song “Communist Scum”, that created conflicts with the local audience. But this rejection fired their will to go on against everything and everyone. If they made some enemies, on the other hand the number of the loyal supporters was rising, as demonstrated by the 160 and more tickets sold for a concert with other two local bands at the MI-KLUB in Izola: a record number for such a small club.
The band releases its first self-produced album “Immortal Hate” on November 1, 2006. Soon after, Matej Latin leaves the band.
They continue preparing new songs and the band self-release the demo “Funeral...”, that will be afterwards released by the labels “Wildnet Label” and “Thor’s Hammer Production”. With the release of “Funeral...” they earned the title of the most extreme Slovenian thrash metal band and they performed live in three events, that marked their summer of 2007: Metal Camp 2007, Metal Mania 2007 and 7th MK RED EYE Bikers fest, where they played as support band for Paul Di Anno (ex Iron Maiden).
Bleeding Fist go on down their path creating new songs that, together with the “Funeral...” ones, will testify the aggression of the band in their new full-length album.
