Bleecker Street Cinema was a movie theater (now closed) located at 144 Bleecker Street in New York City. Opening in 1962, it was a landmark of Greenwich Village and was well known for showing foreign, indie and other offbeat movies. It had two screens and seated 475 people.[1] It was closed on August 30, 1990, due to sharp increases in rent.[2]
