[edit] RE: Cyborg RfC

Greetings! Thanks for your input regarding the aforementioned RfC; I've moved your statement further down, just prior to the RfC conclusion in the RfC. In the "cyborg" article, we have discussed and identified the need to expand on the various definitions and ambiguities (like in the "android" article, though that article isn't perfect), and the one you've identified can figure into that.

I look forward to moving forward with this and in working with you to help realise these enhancements, making the article "fully functional". :) Thoughts? Thanks again! E Pluribus Anthony 01:01, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

Copy that.

[edit] Others comments

However well intentioned you are you musn't tamper with other users comments. Point out their inaccuracies but don't change what they say unless they are indulging in personal attacks etc, cleasrly not the case at cannabis. Cheers, SqueakBox 15:23, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Photos from Overgrow

I've just read the copyright template you placed on the photos you uploaded from Overgrow. Is there a policy that Overgrow allows photos posted there, on which they have copyright, to be used for any purpose? (you should respond here on this page) -SM 19:09, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Us military operations

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Us military operations, by MoRsE (talk ยท contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Us military operations fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

This seems like original research to me, also it is an enormous project, likely not to be solved with this article. There is also Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/United States military history task force that largely fills the function for this site

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Us military operations, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 18:59, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Smileys.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Smileys.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 22:31, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Smileys.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Smileys.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

When I came across this image earlier, I declined to delete it speedily as you had made an attempt at a fair use rationale since being notified, but a more detailed rationale is required. {{Non-free use rationale}} and Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline should help you get there!
