[edit] James Norrington - Primary character?
One of the most common changes to Template:Piratescaribbean is moving James Norrington from "Other characters and creatures" to the list of primary characters. I am not fully acquainted with the series, so I thought I would ask for your opinion on whether he is a main character or not? --Dreaded Walrus t c 13:04, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for contacting me :) Quite frankly, I don't see James Norrington as a primary character, rather, as a secondary character. I don't understand why so many people see otherwise. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. BlackPearl14Pirate Lord-ess 23:10, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deleted scene? What's this?
Apparently, there is a deleted scene from DMC with Commodore Norrington asking if he can restart his career and Beckett replies that he has something better; so says the article on Norrington here. This scene was not included with the DVD. So how does anybody know about it?--KnowledgeLord (talk) 05:22, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Brethren Court
Black Pearl 14, I understand that you think that the appearences section is important. I think that, too. However, I admit its too detailed and too large. I made an attempt to shrink it once, but I desided that it would be better to delete the section for now and add it again, though more appropriatly size, once or if the article is saved. That is my whole master plan. I apologize for any confusion, but the article's 2nd deletion nomination is getting me flustered.--Count Mall (talk) 03:33, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Alrighty, then! I'll help out with that when I can. --Count Mall (talk) 20:38, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
OK, so it got deleted. Lets make it again. I got the whole thing save on a word document.--Count Mall (talk) 19:56, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Piracy#Famous historical pirates/privateers
Hey I was wondering if you would comment on the Piracy talk page on your views on the Famous historical pirates/privateers. I proposed it be deleted and would like your comments on it. Thanks! Deflagro C/T 22:42, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Also, your comments would be welcome here: at my sandbox. I'm working on referencing the pirates.
- Message posted on Deflagro's talk page: Rather than reference individual pirates in the List of pirates - although I'd still like to reference some of them - I've had a shot at compiling external links/reference material for pirates of that particular age period. Work so far on it is going on over on my sandbox.. your opinion would be most gratefully received (I'm more than a little paranoid about things getting deleted).
[edit] I know....
I know that my question about the Titani was pointless, but I just really wanted to know. Good day. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.98.81.219 (talk) 01:32, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:410poster.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:410poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 00:51, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Radcliffe
So not problem, I'm surprise that the BBC and the major London papers did not have any articles on it especially considering that he is born in London and that parts (especially the beginnings) of the Harry Potter movies were filmed in London.--JForget 15:29, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Captainjohncoxon.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Captainjohncoxon.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 04:55, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The Flying Dutchman
IT IS FANCRUFT! The "summary" for the ship's appearance in the films is extensive! Trust me, I used to be like this myself, and added fancruft to Lord Voldemort. When I did that, I made the page extra long and full of cruft that I even got into an edit war with editors. I left the page (being annoyed) and move to edit something else. The page is simplified to a good form and if it is reverted, I'm going to lable it as of of cruft. By the way, your very User Name screams you are a big Pirates fan, thus likeable to add fan cruft to Pirates pages. I have rendered the Cutler Beckett and Davy Jones articles to an appropriet form (if you will notice). Hpfan1 (talk) 20:04, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Greetings back!
Ahoyhoy! I remember my days with the SMV team well... sorry it took me so long to respond to your message on my talk page, but I'm afraid I'm not a very consistent Wikipedian at the moment (the whole being-busy-with-college thing, y'know). Sadly I don't know Emerson Spartz here, though I know people who know him and I know where he lives. He's apparently a minor celebrity even on campus. Also, glad you remember my Pi shirt... I wore it two days ago, for Pi day. I hope you managed to celebrate it as well, though if not, you could probably eat a slice of pie today and get away with it :-) Anyway, have an excellent day, happy Wikipedia'ing, etc! cfallin|(talk) 17:48, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edits to BlackPearl14
Oops...it looked as if the IP 67.171.175.42 had vandalised your user page. When dealing with vandalism mistakes can sometimes happen, I have reverted the page back. Thanks also to The undertow for clearing the IP 67.171.175.42 talk page. Sorry to have troubled you about this,
Best wishes,

[edit] Injuries
We know that. Why don't you source it and add it in? BlackPearl14Pirate Lord-ess 16:04, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- I want to - but I learned that stuff so long ago I can't even remember where I heard it. And I'm sure I heard it in several articles and video interviews, I just can't put my finger on where it was. If you happen to find the sources, BlackPearl14, let me know please. And is it ok to add it without the sources? --Panic!out (talk) 19:14, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks very much! --Panic!out (talk) 16:28, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
I think one of the places I heard about so many injuries is in 2006 on Ellen Degeneres, when he was on the show promoting Pirates 2. She lists all of them...you can find it on YouTube.--Panic!out (talk) 00:52, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
No problem, thank YOU! :-D --Panic!out (talk) 17:27, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I'd like to tell you I have replied to your Message on Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl Talk Page under "Assuming Good Faith." Please read and reply accordingly Theterribletwins1111 (talk) 20:36, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The stupid comment
I said that the fact that the article was using two different tempuses for event that occured concurrently was stupid, not that anyone was stupid. Also, someone had already reverted my edits, which was why I had to specify exactly why they shouldn't be reverted (again). Yuna-chan (talk) 18:45, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Excuse me..
Um, sorry to bother you, but what are those userbox(I think) thing at the bottom of your page? How do you get those? Thank you for your time. TheBadgerOfTruth (talk) 19:07, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your Userboxes
Hi again, I was looking at your userboxes and I like some of them; besides the ones that say you are from a Wikiproject, where do you get them? I always say "why is the rum gone?!" so I'd like to know where to find that userbox. Thanks for your time! --Panic!out (talk) 18:57, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks so much for your help! "Take what you can!" --Panic!outU've Been Discoed! 17:38, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Sparrow
POTC features an ensemble cast, calling him the protagonist is an opinion. Alientraveller (talk) 09:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
