Why is this this article slated for deletion? Blatz is a notable and important Bay Area punk band. The quality of the article/citation may need improvement, but that is no reason for outright deletion. Blatz has released the following on Lookout! Records, one of the most active and notable independent punk labels of the 1990's:

  1. Cheaper Than The Beer Lookout! Records (1991)
  2. Stranger Fruit (split LP with Tribe 8) Lookout! Records (1992)
  3. Bitches and Brew (split 7" single with Tribe 8) Lookout! Records (1992)
  4. A Touch Of Blatz/Filth (split LP with Filth) Lookout! Records (1992)
  5. The Shit Split (split LP with Filth) Lookout! Records (1992)

6. Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.

Members went on to join the likes of the Criminals, Gru'ups and Green Day.

7. Has become the most prominent representative of a notable style or of the local scene of a city; note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability.

Blatz were and still are an important part of the Bay Area punk community. They were involved with and practiced at the 924 Gilman Project. Robert Eggplant edited the Absolutely Zippo zine which was integral to the Bay Area punk scene in the 1990's.
