Talk:Blasé Splee

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page is for an up and coming band that already has credible sources to cite, reviews published in credible print and online media publications and online blogs. These will all be referenced as the construction of this page nears completion.

I added the speedy deletion template; Googling around, it looks like the band does have some notability. I'm going to replace the speedy tag with an under construction tag. Please add verifiable references for this article as soon as you can. Thanks. Rnb (talk) 16:09, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Does a well known and reputable Detroit area music blog count as a citable source? They have had a decent amount of press in print media, but most of the reviews of their live shows have been published in music blogs such as fivethreedialtone.com, webvomit.com and post-rockist.com. I would like to reference some of these live reviews for this wiki page, would this be ok or should I simply place links to the original posts?

Thank you!

It's my understanding that you should try to avoid using blogs as much as possible, although if it's very well known and reputable, I'm sure exceptions are made. Specifically, the guidelines are available at WP:Verifiability and WP:Reliable Sources. Rnb (talk) 16:45, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Okay I think I've incorporated everything I can into this page. Please check my links and sources, I didn't cite the blogs but placed links to the live reviews. If possible, I'd like to remove the banner and solidify this page into your wonderful database. Thanks again!

I did a little cleanup and removed the construction tag. Remember, however, that other people may or may not still have problems with the article and can re-add tags or even re-nominate the article for deletion as they see fit. Thanks. Rnb (talk) 18:40, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
