The distance from Cork is incorrect, depending on what you judge the boundary of the village to be, it's either 8 or 9 km from Cork City. I'm unable to find any reference to 11km.

[edit] Distance

This[1] link says that the Blarney Woollen Mills are 6 miles from Cork City, which roughly is just over 9km. This [2] site says that the village of Blarney is 8km/5 miles outside of Cork City. My map of Cork county also states the distance is 8km, so I'm I'm changing the article to reflect this, stating that the village itself is 8km from Cork City, not the current vague and incorrect 'some 11km'. • Correct. It's been changed since the new Mallow Road (N20 road) was built - Ali-oops 18:50, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure how to revert it, but I'm pretty sure that the part about Blarney being a constitutional republic ruled by General Masher the Great is complete and utter bollocks. Someone who knows how should probably get rid of that.

I've edited the spam out of the page, but I don't know if I followed proper procedure ... you Wikipedians will know so better than I.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.238.33.208 (talkcontribs)
