Talk:Blain's Farm and Fleet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am a trainer for one of Blains Farm and Fleet Stores in Illinois. Nowhere in the company literature does it infer that the company is a franchise. The entire company is privately owned and operated by Bert Blain's children; Robert Blain and Jane Blain Gilbertson. You can't purchase franchises of this company - it's not McDonalds!
If it were, I'm sure there would be many more store locations than 33, as they are a very successful company.
You also missed a huge portion of our product market - the "Farm" in Farm and Fleet. This is one of the few places people can reliably find low cost, good quality animal care products for horses, pets to poultry - from antibiotics to calf starter to saddles. Other farm implement suppies include a variety of farm equipment, from hay forks to tractor bearings. Our automotive dept still has lots of items for do-it-yourselfers. Our hardware and home improvement aras can't be beat for basic supplies in bulk.
[edit] Cleanup of article
I did a major clean up of this article by adding an info box and reference section. Also under locations I removed Farm and Fleet of...... it was repeated over and over and I changed it so it just shows the towns were a Blain's Farm & Fleet are located, and I put them in sub-categories. This edit will help make this page conform more to Wikipedia standards. IG-2000 17:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
