Talk:Black Mesa East

Should this be merged with Half Life 2? There isn't much room for expansion. Orange Goblin 23:34, 16 May 2005 (UTC)

- It could be useful for the article to stand, especially if someone can expand it just a little, if only to clearly explain the differences between Black Mesa Research Facility from the original Half-Life and Black Mesa East from Half-Life 2. -DynSkeet (talk) 11:55, May 17, 2005 (UTC)
It says Mossman coordinated the Combine attack of Black Mesa East, but in fact when the player and Alyx discover Mossman in Nova Prospekt, she is arguing with Dr Breen, as she is annoyed that he sent a Combine raid, and says that he should have waited for her signal. Mossman gave the Combine the information that Gordon had arrived, but it was not her decision to launch the attack. -- your evil twin 23:32, 1 January 2006 (UTC)
About the Episode one reference, are you sure its accurate? nocliping to the box eli and kleiner talk in only reveal that valve might use the teliporter model as a prop, not as a reference that there back in BME, it could even mean that there is a teleporter present at the "vortigaunt camp". further proof of this is the hl2 ep1 GCF file that reveals that "eli and mossman left for the vortigaunt camp". they definety did not visit black mesa east before they went to the missle silo.
I will delete this reference until reason is provided.
EDIT: "The two are seen inside the facility when they contact Gordon and Alyx at the beginning of the game." This is referenceing the missle silo, not Black mesa east.

- The Official Prima Game Guide for Episode One states this about Eli:
Currently Eli Vance has stayed in the secretive lair known as Black Mesa East to help control operations and worry about the safety of his only daughter.
- The guide then goes on to say this about Kleiner:
Pulling back from his laboratory in City 17, Kleiner appears to have retreated back to Black Mesa East to join his more level-headed colleague, Eli.
- Sounds like Black Mesa East. Please provide a citation that states Eli and Kliener are actually in the missle silo when they contact Alyx and Gordon at the beginning of Episode One. MarphyBlack 23:53, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
What's a Cremator, and how do we know that "strange thing" in the jar as Eli calls it, is the head of one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.9.90.180 (talk • contribs)
- The cremator was an enemy type that was cut from Half-Life 2 at some point during the game's development. It basically resembled a big non-human, trench-coated figure that used some sort of flamethrower as a weapon. The model for the cremator can still be seen in the leaked HL2 beta. While this enemy was cut, its head (identical to its form in the leaked beta) was still used inside that jar in Eli's lab. Additionally, the texture name for the object inside the jar is something along the lines of "cremator_head", and that too is identical to the version seen in the leak.
