Blaydon RFC are an English semi-professional rugby union team. They play in National Division Two, having won previously National Division Three North. Ground: Crow Trees, Swalwell

The Blaydon 1st Team are presently the second highest placed league team in the North East (behind Guinness Premiership side, Newcastle Falcons). Due to Blaydon's close proximitey to the Falcons, increasingly this season, many of the Falcon's promising academy players have been given invaluable experience at Blaydon. Tyne Valley side Tynedale will join Blaydon in National 2 next season, after winning National 3 North, as did Blaydon last year.
The first team squad are all semi-professional players.

Blaydon run various youth teams, ranging from Under 7, to Under 19, and next season, an Under 21 side.
The youth section are not only one of the best throughout the agegroups in the area, but also in the North of England, with teams often reaching the latter stages of National cup competitions. The present U18's side are regarded as the most successful team in county Durham, and have now reached the Durham County Championship fianl for a record 6 consecutive seasons.
- Under 19 (2008): National Semi Final [vs. Harrogate, 16th March, Crow Trees]
- Under 17 (2008): National Plate Quarter Final [vs. Sheffield, 23rd March, Crow Trees]
The youth section presentation is now an annual event, held at the Federation Brewery Complex, Dunston; and is an extremely good night for all, as well as various presentations, past years fun and games have included; shaving of various 'body hair', ballet dancing, trolley 'takeshis castle' water fights, pie eating contests, Andy Wilson being booed off the stage, and Messers Pyle, Kelly and Hudson dressing in various costumes. The night is usually held at the beginning of May.
