Blaw-Knox

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Blaw-Knox is one of the most prominent manufacturers of road paving equipment in the world. It is currently part of Ingersoll-Rand.

Eventually a maker of highway pavers with factories and offices in many countries, BlawKnox started as a maker of concrete forms made from steel. The company was formed from 2 companies (Blaw and Knox) and eventually was purchased by White Consolidated Industries.

The company designed the distinctive Blaw-Knox tower in the 1930's - a radio transmitter distinguished by its diamond-shaped appearance.
