Blanchefleur

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Blanchefleur is the sweetheart of Perceval in Chrétien de Troyes' Perceval, le Conte du Graal. She is Gornemant's niece, and is rescued by the hero while her castle is under siege.

In Wolfram von Eschenbach's Parzival, where she is called Condwiramurs, she becomes Parzival's wife and bears him two sons, Kardeiz and Loherangrin (Lohengrin).

Blanchefleur is also the name of the heroine in the medieval tale of Floris and Blanchefleur and the name of Tristan's mother in Tristan and Iseult.
