Blake Spectra is a fictional character in the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. The character was played by actor Martin Blyth from January 19th, 2008 to May 17th, 2008. Blyth left the series after his character was killed off; in true soap fashion, Blake was stabbed to death by his half-brother, Jack Logan Forrester Marone, after it was discovered Blake had fathered a child with Jack's mother, Brooke Logan. In June 2008, Blyth is set to return to the role as a ghost, who is believed to haunt Jack.

[edit] Arrival
Blake arrived in town at the request of his mother, Sally, to keep an eye on his family business, Spectra Fashions. Before he arrived in town, Sally admitted to Blake that she had slept with Dominick "Nick" Marone, who was revealed to be Blake's biological father. Blake, however, was hiding a secret of his own - he had slept with Nick years before, but their relationship had ended when Nick revealed that he had slept with Sally. Neither Blake or Nick knew that they were father and son.
[edit] Marriage, Affair & Divorce To Brooke
Blake offered to babysit Brooke's children, Hope and Ridge Forrester Jr, while she went out on a date with Ridge Forrester. When she returned home, things between Blake and Brooke grew heated and the pair slept with one another. The next morning, both Blake and Brooke woke up in Las Vegas, where it was revealed that they had married. Not long after, Brooke discovered she was pregnant with Blake's child. Brooke begged Blake to keep their relationship a secret from Ridge, and Blake agreed - but only if he could keep seeing Brooke. Brooke agreed, and continued to see Blake behind Ridge's back. Blake soon found himself becoming attracted to Brooke's ex-husband, Thorne Forrester, and one night, Blake seduced a drunken Thorne and slept with him. The next morning, Brooke discovered Blake and Thorne sleeping in her bed, and soon after, divorced Blake. Afterwards, she decided to pass the child off as Ridge's, after deciding that Blake would be a bad father.
[edit] Marriage To Thorne
After his divorce from Brooke came through, Blake and Thorne married. Blake later revealed that he was pregnant with Thorne's child, and shortly after, delivered twins - Thorne Spectra Forrester, Jr., and Bridget Spectra Forrester, Jr. (named after Thorne and his half-sister Bridget Forrester.) After the birth of the twins, Brooke also gave birth to a son, whom she named Dominick "Nick" Marone, Jr, after the true love of her life (and Blake's father), Nick Marone. Blake later demanded that Brooke tell Ridge that he was Dominick Jr's father, but Brooke refused. Thorne heard Blake and Brooke arguing, and discovered the truth. Soon after, he filed for divorce.
[edit] Moving Onto Thomas
Blake moved onto Ridge Forrester's son, Thomas Forrester. The pair married, but their relationship ended in divorce when Blake discovered Thomas had been sleeping with Rick Forrester behind his back. Their relationship produced a son, whom they adopted, named Blake Spectra Forrester, Jr.
[edit] Sally's Death & Marriage To Eric
Blake was devastated when his mother, Sally, died from a fatal combination of drugs and chemicals, which had leaked into her brain. An autopsy reveled that, after years of colouring her hair red, Sally had been poisoned by hair dye. Blake was deeply upset, and began taking drugs to ease the pain. However, because he was unable to find anything heavy, Blake instead became addicted to headache tablets and cough medicine. With the help of his first husband Thorne's father, Eric Forrester, Blake was able to kick the habit. Blake and Eric fell in love, and married. Blake desperately wanted to have children with Eric, who was 40 years old than him, and was devastated to learn that Eric was sterile. They divorced soon after.
[edit] Ridge Forrester and AIDS
Blake began seeing Eric's former son, Ridge, but the relationship was purely sexual. Blake and Ridge married, but divorced after it was discovered Ridge had given Blake AIDS. Devastated, Blake stabbed Ridge with a dirty needle, giving Ridge blood poisoning. Ridge later died, and Blake was arrested for his murder. Blake was sentenced to life in prison.
[edit] Prison, and Rick Forrester
While in prison, Blake was visited by Rick Forrester. Blake still hadn't forgiven Rick for breaking up his marriage to Thomas, but after a while, the two developed a friendship. When Blake was released early they maid arrangments to gey married in Toronto (Canada). However, their marriage was cut short after they were both involved in a tragic car accident. Rick was killed instantly, while Blake was put in a medical induced coma after suffering brain aneurysms . Whilst in a coma, it was discovered Blake was pregnant with Rick's child. He gave birth while in a coma from a cesarean section, to a child he named after his half-brother, Jack Logan Forrester Marone, Jr.
[edit] Death
After mourning the loss of Rick, who he considered to be his 6th soul mate, Blake tried to committ suicide at their family home. After finding rummaging through his fathers room he found a shot gun, Blake shot himself in the head. After a family member found Blake she then dialed 911 and Blake was then rushed to hopital where he later died. Blake's spirit was reunited with Rick in (Heaven), but Rick told Blake that he had to return to Earth. Blake did as he was told and returned to his body on earth. He then miraculously came back to live from his attempted suicide, but was later told that he would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He was told he would never walk again.
But after trying several attempts to gain feeling in his legs he was told by Rick in a vision that there was a magic cream that could help him walk again. Blake being a the political man he was found the magic cream and put it on his legs, after several minutes of waiting Blake was able to walk.
[edit] Second Death
When Jack discovered Blake had fathered a child with his mother Brooke, he confronted his half-brother. After fighting, Jack stabbed Blake in the heart with a knife several times, killing him instantly. Realising what he had done, Jack cut of Blake's face and had it attached to his own face. He later told his friends and family that Jack had left town after learning about Brooke's child. Some weeks later, Blake's body was found under Brooke's bed, planted by Jack. However, Brooke was arrested for Blake's murder and sentenced to life in prison. Jack threw away Blake's face and showed himself to his friends and family. After visiting Brooke in prison, he confessed everything - later, Jack killed himself.
