The father of three children, Blaise Thompson is the Family Coalition Party candidate for the riding of St. Paul's in midtown Toronto, Ontario.

Born in Deep River, though he grew up in Sarnia[1], Blaise received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the St. Michael's College campus of the University of Toronto.

Following graduation, he taught French, English, and Religion at Nicholson Catholic College, in Belleville from 1989 to 1997 when he lost the job after refusing to remove the newly-printed Catechism of the Catholic Church from a course reading list after the school principal decided it did not use "inclusive" language.[2][3]. He still tutors students.
