The blacktip sawtail catshark, Galeus sauteri, is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western Pacific from Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines, at depths of between 60 and 90 m. Its length is up to 38 cm.

The blacktip sawtail catshark is a little-known bottom-dwelling shark found on the continental shelves.

The dorsal and sometimes upper and lower caudal fin lobes have prominent black tips.
