The 1917-18 season was Blackpool F.C.'s third season in special wartime football during World War I. They competed in the Lancashire Section of a makeshift Football League. The season was split into a Principal Competition (thirty games) and a Subsidiary Competition (six games), the latter of which saw Blackpool facing only their closest of neighbours (Burnley, Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers). Blackpool finished twelfth in the principal competition and fifth in the subsidiary competition.
Hunter was the club's top scorer, with eight goals (five in the principal competition and three in the subsidiary).
