The Blackish Oystercatcher (Haematopus ater) is a species of wader in the Haematopodidae family. It is found in Argentina, Chile, Falkland Islands, Peru, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, and Uruguay. Its natural habitat is rocky shores.
