The Blackish-blue Seedeater (Amaurospiza moesta) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae or Cardinalidae. It was formerly placed with the American sparrows in the Emberizidae. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes. It is threatened by habitat loss.
