Blackball Records is an independent record label based in San Francisco. It was founded in 1989 by Adam Pfahler, who was the drummer for Jawbreaker at the time. The label's first full-length release was Jawbreaker's Live 4/30/96 in 1999.
In 2002 Blackball Records issued a compilation of Jawbreaker rarities entitled Etc, and in 2004 the label acquired and re-released the band's sole major-label recording Dear You. In October 2005 Blackball Records released the self-titled debut album from Duchess which was the label's first release from a non-Jawbreaker project. This was followed in early 2006 by the release of another eponymous debut album from Adam's own band Whysall Lane.
