Black Spot Program
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Black Spot Program is a project of the Australian Government to eliminate safety problems on the roads. It was created in the early 1980s, abolished, then reestablished after a change of government in 1996.
A similar project in Poland (since 1998), "Black point" (Polish: "Czarny punkt"), is a very dangerous section of road.
[edit] Sign
The Black Spot sign, used to mark areas as zones where many safety problems occur consists of a yellow and white background, with a large black spot with a cross through it.
