Black Chandelier is a trendy popular clothing retailer based in the U.S. state of Utah. Its founder is fashion designer Jared Gold and his collections primarily cater to teens and college-age men and women. The company and its founder have been featured in Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Italian Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and People. It currently operates a fashion studio and four-stores throughout the Wasatch Front, most prominently at Trolley Square in Salt Lake City, and has a large online business. The Black Chandelier name is owned by Gold Fusion Laboratories, Inc., a Utah corporation which itself is owned by Nexia Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded holding company. Nexia intends to fund the expansion of the Black Chandelier label and retail concept through an equity line of credit which may provide up to $10 Million in capital. Nexia's stated goal is to expand Black Chandelier into at least 50 retail stores by 2011. Gold Fusion Laboratories, Inc. currently employs a staff of about 50 people, including sales associates, designers, pattern makers, sewers, and other professionals. The president of General Growth Properties recently named Black Chandelier as one of its number one up-and-coming retailers.[citation needed] Black Chandelier is on track to generate about $1.7 Million in its first year of operations under the ownership of Nexia.[citation needed]

Black Chandelier's designer Jared Gold appeared on an episode of America's Next Top Model, first aired on 22 March 2006. Gold's hissing cockroach broach was a focal point on America's Next Top Model and was also featured in the 21 March 2007 episode of CSI: NY.
