Black 2 is a first-person shooter video game in development by Criterion Games and to be published by Electronic Arts for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. It is being designed by Digital Illusions CE. It is the sequel to Black, and was announced in Electronic Arts' Fiscal Year 2007 plan statement on November 13, 2007. It is currently scheduled for release in 2008 and uses an updated version of the engine Black used.[1]

Peter Moore of EA said that there will be many more new features and something called Weapons defunct system. This was said in the announcement.
