Trichothraupis melanops |
Trichothraupis is a monotypic genus of bird, containing only the Black-goggled Tanager (Trichothraupis melanops).
Its distinctive black forehead and ocular area give it a "goggled" effect. It is found in tropical forests in eastern Peru to Bolivia, and in southern Brazil.
