The Black-faced Hawk (Leucopternis melanops) is a species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is found in the northern Amazon Basin of Brazil and the Guianas; also Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
