The Black-cowled Oriole (Icterus prosthemelas) is a species of bird in the Icteridae family.
It is found in Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and possibly Honduras.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
