The Black-backed Antshrike (Sakesphorus melanonotus) is a species of bird in the Thamnophilidae family. It is found in Colombia and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry forests. It has recently been proposed that it more properly belongs to the genus Thamnophilus (Brumfield et al., 2007).
