Black-Ash Inheritance is a 1997 melodic death metal MCD by In Flames. It was released as a preview of the upcoming album Whoracle. The tracks were included in the Japanese release of Whoracle as well as the later reissue of The Jester Race. The track "Gyroscope" was later released on the following album, Whoracle, and the track "Behind Space" was originally on the band's debut album Lunar Strain, featuring the vocals of Mikael Stanne. The "Acoustic Medley" is a medley of three In Flames songs; Artifacts of the Black Rain (The Jester Race), Dead Eternity (The Jester Race) and Jotun (Whoracle).
