BLATT Fest
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
BLATT Fest is an annual alternative literary festival that takes place in Prague, Czech Republic. The Fest's first installment took place in May 2006, and was curated by BLATT magazine editor Travis Jeppesen. BLATT Fest touted itself as an alternative to the "increasingly boring" Prague Book Fair, which it coincided with in both 2006 and 2007.
The festival takes place over four or five nights, with each night typically arranged around a given theme. Authors featured in the 2006 festival include Bertie Marshall, Brane Mozetic, and artist/musician Jeremiah Palecek.
The 2007 festival was held at the Blind Eye Pub in Zizkov, and featured readings by Stewart Home, Tom McCarthy, and Social disease publisher Heidi James, among others.
