BKD, LLP (formerly Baird Kurtz Dobson) is the 10th largest CPA and advisory firm in the United States.
The company was founded in 1923 in Wichita, Kansas and was the first accounting firm in that state. BKD is now headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, with approximately 1,900 employees and 230 partners.
The company operates in 12 states including: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas, with 29 offices.
BKD, LLP has over $318 million in revenues (2007) with 38% from assurance and accounting outsourcing, 20% consulting, and 32% tax.
