[edit] Declared COI for UBF
- I have a declared COI in the University Bible Fellowship article. I will gladly refrain from editing the article provided it does not become a soap box for criticism, since the article was started as such. I am fine with a summary of the negative viewpoints as long as the assessments of third party Christian authors and organizations are included in the article, such as those of John H. Armstrong, the National Association of Evangelicals, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability and others. Bkarcher (talk) 14:00, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] COI
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article University Bible Fellowship, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. Nomoskedasticity (talk) 13:19, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
I see now that your talk page previously had a COI warning and that you deleted it. That's fine, you're entitled to do what you want with your talk page (mostly), and so you're free to delete this one as well. Under the circumstances, where you have been issuing COI warnings to your opponents, I'm not sure it's wise to delete it - and in any event deleting it amounts to acknowledgement that you have read it. cheers, Nomoskedasticity (talk) 13:49, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
