Unblock DHRS

Could the block on 204.229.240.120 be changed to allow registered user to still edit please (I think that account creation should be blocked)? Also I would recommend that the IP remain blocked indefinity due to it is the IP of a rather large high school.--BJ 18:49, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Can't see a block on that IP, is it an autoblock on another account? Can you post the block page? Guy 19:07, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by RasputinAXP for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Persistant vandalism Your IP address is 204.229.240.120. --BJ 19:11, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Vandal reporting

Hi! Before reporting vandalism to WP:AIV, be sure to warn the user about his or her actions. We cannot block someone who hasn't had proper notification. Thank you! -- Merope Talk 19:10, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

I thought had allready {{bv}}ed him, sorry.
I see what happened - you posted it to his user page, not his talk page. It happens. (It happens to me more often than I care to admit!) Anyway, I've warned him, he vandalized again, and now he's blocked. -- Merope Talk 19:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Desert Ridge High School

Re: this post, I removed non-notable (nn) and unverified information. -- 12.106.111.10 00:27, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

A lot of that was notable, it might needed to be cleaned up but it was still notable. --BJ 00:35, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
It's notable that they have a sports program, like almost every other school? The principle is notable enough to merit being mentioned both in the info box & in the article?
The apparent suicide, while tragic, has not yet been deemed notable enough in the Mesa/Gilbert/Chandler community to make it into any credible published source (including the East Valley Trib, which seems to publish this kind of thing as often as it happens); this was actually mentioned in the text that was removed. WP is intended to be a encyclopedia, not a school year book. -- 12.106.111.10 00:43, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "again", as the edit history for this article clearly shows that no one from this IP address has never edited this article prior to todays consecutive edits. -- 12.106.111.10 00:45, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about the again was I was distracted but back to the point, I still think that "Traditions" and sports are notable. See every other high school article. --BJ 00:53, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Just a wee thought...

Have you had a look at WP:BITE? It basically means, do not bite the newcomers, or, assume good faith, as we all make mistakes. I just thought your warning here was a little on the harsh side. Normally, I'd recommend {{advert1}} or {{advert2}}. Otherwise keep up the great work! Glen 08:01, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

I used {{advert4}} because it was in response to the article you already warned him about but your right it was harsh. Sorry. --BJ 08:13, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

The Departed

Please do not remove maintenance notices from pages unless the required changes have been made. If you are uncertain whether the page requires further work, or if you disagree with the notice, please discuss these issues on the page's talk page before removing the notice from the page. These notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of a page. Thank you. --Madchester 03:16, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule. Please cease further reverts or you may be blocked from further editing. The page has been listed on WP:Cleanup. Please review that summary before making any further reverts and potentially violating WP:3RR. Thanks. --Madchester 03:29, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

John Zarr

Please refrain from creating inappropriate pages such as John Zarr. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 02:43, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

I did not create the article, I just added the db-bio template, just wanted to point that out. Keep up the great work! BJ 02:47, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
I was a little confused, because I looked at the edit history, and only saw your name; but you are the one adding db-bio to articles. I guess there was some confusion; I apologize for the inconvenience. -Patstuart(talk)(contribs) 02:48, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

VP

In reguard to your VP approval I see some issues on your userpage that concern me. I have removed your name from the list twice allready. Each time I cited my reasons. Since VP is a powerful tool the moderators of VP need to be able to trust in the users we approve. The recent issues do not support you. Yes I know we all make mistakes, I have made a few myself but before we approve you we would like to see you redeem yourself. WP:POPUPS is a useful tool. I will not hold this against you but come back in two weeks and lets see where you stand. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 08:19, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Zdaemon

He is irresponsibly deleting relative content.

Clan Activity is extremely relevant as Zdaemon.org devotes nearly half of their front page toward them. Furthermore, Zdaemon Community is very active with CTF which is heavily played by Clans.

If this vanalism continues, you will be reported. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tcdoom (talkcontribs) 17:41, November 6, 2006.

For all interested, my changes were the removal of the list of clans on the page [2] because I feel that Wikipedia is not the place for it and because I feel it fails WP:V/WP:NOR. I also removed the link to the clan website of Tcdoom (the user above) [3].

You Deleted Zdaemon Staff Members on your last act of vandalism. As per this user talk, it is obvious you are rubbing others the wrong way. Clans are relevant or they would not be on the front page of Zdaemon.org [[4]]. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tcdoom (talkcontribs) 18:27, November 6, 2006.

voip-info.org link removal

Hi BJweeks. I visited this link (after you corrected it) on Digium and it really doesn't provide any more information than what is already in the article and company website. WP standards state that the official company website link is OK, but others are to be discouraged unless they provide unique content. If you still think its necessary, go ahead and add it back, but it seems redundant. Calltech 14:58, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Desert Ridge High School

back off —Preceding unsigned comment added by Misplaced canadian (talkcontribs) 17:32, November 14, 2006 the rivalrys are important to sports and you keep on deleting them. i made the article and yes there is somethings that arent important but rivalries are if you are not deleting them then iam sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.2.162.200 (talkcontribs) 21:34, November 17, 2006

The rivalries section was removed by another user because they were unsourced, I do agree with him but I'm not removing that section specifily just jumping back numbers of days back to the older version after multiple user touched the page and added more useless info and typos. BJTalk 04:50, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah well if you go to DRHS then you should know who are rivals are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.2.162.20 (talk • contribs) 03:20, November 18, 2006
I do go to DRHS but this is a encyclopedia so you must cite everything, see WP:V. BJTalk 17:06, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Did you delete the sports part of the section? --Misplaced canadian 19:19, 23 November 2006 (UTC)misplaced_canadian

teamspeak

The reason I was editing is that I have searched out all free teamspeak sites and the one that was currently posted offered less that the one I posted. So I thought either both should be on or the one I posted or neither because people would rather get 50 free slots than 16 which was offered at the previous.

You dont go to Highland High School so dont edit there page. Just focus on your high school.

Alright I deleted the topic i started becasuse i feel it has no value right now so please dont bring it up agian.

I understand however as ridiculus as this asignment is it makes up a large part of my grade. I was left with the choice between choosing to add a article I knew litle or nothing about or choosing one that I could at least add valid information to. Well I doubt most of my peers will even be able to come near 3 pages I feel I should apoligize for the 300-450 pages my class potentialy will submit to Wikipedia that will be sub par. Probably at 'most' this article will be 2 pages. I will try to keep it as factual as possible.
Autonomous Operations 03:05, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Ill be surprised if any one in our class can write 5 pages at Wikipedia Standards. Also I wasnt afended by you comment. I seriously do think some of the articles my class will write will be almost completely audited and wikipedia wont benifit much from there articles. Autonomous Operations 07:20, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Today our teacher clarified the asignment its 5 pages double spaced so on wikipidia its only about 2.5 pages.Autonomous Operations 21:28, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

I would ask...

if you dont create another account and use it to vandilise other people. you wont be getting an award if you keep this up.

What are you talking about? BJTalk 05:34, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

I had someone vandaslise my page it was Raptor 1022 or something like that if that wasnt you then you can delete this entrie topic. --68.2.162.200 15:29, 24 November 2006 (UTC)misplaced_canadian

Chess Team

Barry Goldwater is allowed to talk about their chess team, but we are not? Look, high school chess isn't something that sourced on the internet, you have to take the words of someone who goes to Highland. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 130.13.61.115 (talk) 22:46, 8 December 2006 (UTC).

If you can't source it, it doesn't belong on Wikipeida, see WP:V. If you feel that the chess section of the Barry Goldwater page is unsourced feel free to remove it. BJTalk 23:13, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

You have been deleting external links as spam without viewing the sites for content.

I have noticed that you have been deleting official town government websites as spam. You have deleted at least 14 government websites as spam, and I am guessing that you must not have visited these websites. Also you are deleteding this information from an area you do not appear to have an in depth knowledge of. I live in this area and will continue to post these sites because they are the only real content for these areas. Future disregard for others hard work will not go unnoticed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Anythingbusiness (talkcontribs) 05:04, 10 December 2006 (UTC).

The pages I have submitted have more than 100+ pages of pure community information, aside from the local chamber of commerce stuff.

As absolutely distasteful as I find this, apparently this is the official chamber of commerce website for the Star Valley communities (Alpine, Etna, Freedom, Star Valley Ranch, Thyane, Bedford, Turnerville, Grover, Auburn, Afton, Fairview, Osmond and Smoot) as per the link from here [5], so they just qualify for WP:EL. The other links, especially the ones for Jackson and Teton park do not, in my opinion, pass WP:EL and should be removed (again), which I will do. - CosmicPenguin (Talk) 02:48, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Great news BJ, I have nominated you for adminship becuase you spend way too much time on Wiki, helping other people, you are always nice even through people leave Nasty little comments on your page. I would love to see you as admin so that you could help other users. Please accept this and if you are chosen as a admin, please take it. I and other users are proud of you and wish you luck. [Recent changes patroler]Dell970 15:01, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

I am honored but I must decline. I need much more time on Wikipedia before going for adminship. BJTalk 15:11, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
You in fact were not nominated through the standard (required) process. Rather, Dell970 simply posted directly (twice, for some reason) to the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship page. I have removed those postings. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 15:13, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

In this case the "not orphaned" tag is on the image because the current Musia class light cruiser page does not have enough room to comfortably accomadate all of the photos uploaded for it. There are a number of images here that have the same problem, so the tag is designed as a sort of "diplomatic immunity" to keep these images from being whacked. TomStar81 (Talk) 22:29, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Re: your message. The image can be deleted. It had been replaced with a better one. Tagging it for deletion had been forgotten. Thank you.--Peter Eisenburger 08:44, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

User:BJBot

Great bot! BJBot found an image I upoladed two days after someone else uploaded the same image. The BJBot notified him that his image was orphaned and he replaced the link in the article to one leading to his image upload. This made my image orphaned, which BJBots caught and placed a note on my talk page. After reviewing the situation as suggested by BJBot, I figured out that my uploaded image was a duplicate image and was uploaded two days after the other image. I posted a reply on BJBots talk page. For future use of BJBot, you may want to indicate whether you want people posting a reply on BJBots talk page, your talk page, or do nothing (such as if they agree that the image should be deleted). On BJBots user page, you may want to provide a history of the bot to give others a sense of how long its been around, what it does, etc. Keep up the good work. -- Jreferee 16:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:HighlandParkHSNJLogo.jpg)

BJBot wrote on my talk page:

Thanks for uploading Image:HighlandParkHSNJLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. This is an automated message from BJBot 15:43, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Nuke it. Someone deleted the only use of this image back in November. RossPatterson 17:47, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Beatleslogo.gif)

I noticed it was orphaned, but as of now it will remain that way until I can convince the powers that be over at The Beatles project that it should be the pic at the top of the article. However, the fair use argument of "Logo" still applies, I believe. Can you clarify the reason for listing it for deletion? Thanks — mrmaroon25 (talk contribs) 01:10, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Ok, thanks :) I'll try to make the best use of that week. — mrmaroon25 (talk contribs) 02:35, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Sprint logo

That makes no sense. Why tag an SVG version of a fair use logo when the JPEG version was a more likely candidate for deletion? —Joseph/N328KF (Talk) 03:04, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Image:Tv3winchesteronline2.jpg

Heyas....

I know that this image was orphaned, cause I didn't realize that is was that big until I posted it. I, of course, switched images to something a tad smaller. If you want, you can go ahead and delete Image:Tv3winchesteronline2.jpg now, I won't be using it since I have the smaller version. I would have deleted it myself, but don't know how.

Thanks! - SVRTVDude 10:10, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Your user boxes may need to be rearranged

You might want to rearrange your user boxes to ensure that you use only three columns. I am stuck at 1024x768. With the sidebar still visible, your fourth column is only partially visible. Will (Talk - contribs) 07:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Better. Thanks. Don't know how many users will notice, but if they do, may be they will thank you too. Will (Talk - contribs) 07:47, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Images were not Orphaned

I got multiple messages from BJbot saying there are 4 orphaned images unused on any given pages, but they are used fine. 3 of the images NofaceBsf.jpg, TasiaBsf.jpg, MKSF SF.jpg are used in List of minor Mortal Kombat characters. One of the image Goldlightan.jpg is used in Gold Lightan. I have cleaned out the delete notices, please make sure the images don't get deleted in a few days since they are quite difficult to get. And I am pretty positive the bots should not have picked them up. If you think it is something else, please reply to my talk page. Thanks Benjwong 20:01, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

I got a message from BJbot saying that Magop.jpg was an orphaned photo, when in fact it is used on the Massachusetts Republican Party page. --Massrepublican 01:01, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

WOW thanks for the reply. I can't believe the images were in not use after all. Someone did take out the original images to remodify them and rename. Reward your bot with a treat. Have a good day. Benjwong 01:41, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

BJBot suggestion: merge multiple notices

BJBot gave me notice that two images I'd uploaded under fair use were unused and would be deleted (which I agree with). However, it gave me two seperate notices. While not a big deal, it would be a nice touch of BJBot could notice that it already had a notice on a user talk page and just append a "As above, for SuchAndSuch.jpg, which will be deleted on Date 23nd, 200X." — Alan De Smet | Talk 05:11, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair-use images

Hello,

Your bot sent me three messages on my talk page referring to Image:KOMO News 4 Up From The Ashes 01.jpg, Image:KOMO News 4 Up From The Ashes 02.jpg, and Image:MattMcCoy St Helens titlescreen.JPG.

The images aren't orphaned, and are linked inline with the text in the "St. Helens (film) article as well as the Matt McCoy (actor) pages, respectively. I've removed the orphaned tags (yet again) and this is the reason why I'm doing so. Srosenow 98 08:31, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

P.S.. Sorry about having them show up in the talk page here, as I couldn't figure out how to create the links to them as text, and wasn't willing to tinker with it any further. I duly apologize, though. :)

Suggestion to consolidate tags

Bjweeks, I noticed the messages that BJBot left on KenL's talk page. While they are all legitimate, as the images really are fair use and really are orphaned, I wonder if an improvement might be able to be made where the multiple messages to the same uploader are consolidated. Currently, KenL's talk page is absolutely flooded with notices. Just a suggestion. --Iamunknown 00:56, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Re: Queen Creek

Thanks for the positive support. This is the first time I have taken it on my own to go through and update a common series of pages like this, so if you have any recommendations or suggestions, let me know! Ixnayonthetimmay 01:27, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

BJBot fodder

Excellent, glad to here the list was of some use, and not too horribly outdated. Yes, I use mysql, though I think the SQL is pretty standard, and it should be possible to use just about any db server that comes to hand, with little modification. The list I uploaded uses the page, categorylinks and imagelinks tables from the db from the Nov. 30th db dump. I don't yet have a imagelinks table rebuilt from the more recent db dump, but I do have the other two. If I get that done, I then just have to rework the actual queries somewhat; may be able to do that tomorrow to generate an updated list, after which I'll also send you the SQL statements required. Alai 06:04, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

That too a bit longer than I'd imagined; some db problems, OK, I've emailed you the latest list: it seemed to be too large to upload here. If wiki email messes around with it too much, reply and I'll resend it direct. I'll send you the SQL once I've had another look at it and make sure it's a more or less sane reconstruction of what I did this time. Alai 02:51, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

BJBot

Hi. You might want to check the settings on the BJBot. It left a message on my talk page, which is fine, but for some reason it did not trigger the message notification banner that I normally see whenever anyone leaves me a message. I wouldn't have noticed it at all if I hadn't spotted a change to my talk page on my Watchlist. Cheers! 23skidoo 14:33, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

"Desert Combat Extended

Your claim of WP:COI violation in regards to my Desert Combat Extended edits are unfounded. What better source of information about the mod than the author itself. None of the comments are oppinions, all are fact and some are even facts known only by myself. There is no conflict of interest since it's all truth and from the best source of all: the original author. The long list of innovations was put in this article as per the request of many users in several online forums. Many people want to know what are the innovations that the Wikipedia article mentions. What better place to list them where people really want to see them. --Zeuser 18:59, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

You're going to deny the only real source of DCX information? If you don't think I'm the real person, go ahead and challenge me. Ask me something only the real author of DCX would know. What kind of source do you really want anyway? What better source than the author himself? I would actually put a link to the current DCX forum but for some odd reason Wikipedia is banning that site.
There is no written or internet source available. Much of the information is dispearsed across several forums much of which no longer exists, like the original DCX homepage/forum. If you want sources, I can always copy paste my original source code for the mod. Why do you refuse to acknowledge the source of the information which is the best source of all DCX information? Do you somehow think that the author is not a reliable source? Or that the author could edit a wikipedia page and use that as a source? For reference, this is the current DCX forum: s3.phpbbforfree.com/forums/dcx.html

Please

Please tell your bot to leave me alone. Delete the images if you desire. --Cat out 03:55, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

The bot does not have an option to exclude any people from getting the talk page warnings but it should be done with all the images you uploaded already. BJTalk 04:01, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Please add that function because with the amount of uploads I made in the past (which are not used anymore and I could care less why) you will end up filling my talk page forever. I am among the top 100 editors with most edits/uploads and etc. --Cat out 04:34, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
I am still getting those warnings you know... :( --Cat out 08:10, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Image:NY 347 Hauppauge Spur Map(1967).JPG=NOT an Orphan

I already placed a "non-orphan" tag on the Image:NY 347 Hauppauge Spur Map(1967).JPG, because it is being used. I suggest you remove the orphan tag, or I'll do it myself again. ---- DanTD 01:48, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

another bot idea

I discovered some images that were marked "IFD" but never listed. A bot could run through Category:Images and media for deletion and see when the images were marked IFD (by looking at the history perhaps) and if it was greater than 30 days, it would re-list them or perhaps just make notice of them on a special page at IFD or even under the bot when run saying "These images were marked IFD and either never listed or not properly closed" so a human/admin could look at them, if they were listed then they were likely decided on "keep", if they were never listed, then they just get re-listed. The bot could scan through the archives to determine if they were never listed too. Though a human should make the determination if it's IFD worthy, as someone may just slap the tag on a useful image as well. There are ~1214 images in the category, and I would think running it once a month would be plenty to catch images that would likely be 1 or 2 (after the first run). Is it possible? User:BigDT had the same idea for this bot on IRC (he's a image admin). --MECUtalk 16:33, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

These images could be used for testing:
  • Image:Illinois 203.PNG
  • Image:Illinois 111.PNG
  • Image:Illinois 255.PNG
  • Image:Illinois 157.PNG
  • Image:Illinois 159.PNG

--MECUtalk 16:35, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

YABI (yet another Bot idea)

Fair use images should be reduced in size. The Wikipedia:Image use policy states images on articles should never be above 550px wide, but used inline with text (like most fair use images are, if not all, like in infoboxes) should be reduced to thumbnail size. The default thumbnail is 180px, but users can set it to other stock sizes in preferences up to 300px I think. Thus, all fair use images should be no wider than 300px. The bot would go through ever fair use image, reduce it in size to 300px, reupload the image and mark it {{fairusereduced|~~~~~}}. The bot should also reduce the resolution to 72x72 pixels/inch, as I think 300x300 is print quality and 72x72 is a standard web-quality. It should of course keep the aspect ratio of the original image. I've been going through the images that were manually marked in that category and using Gimp which is fairly easy to use, and might have some capability to process bulk files at once with a script so that the bot could grap 50 images, process with gimp and then reupload them (or since it's a bot, reprocessing 1 by 1 would work too, a Gimp script wouldn't care running on 1 or 50 so I guess that's a dumb idea). All the logos and movie poster and album cover categories could be done since those are likely the major violations (maybe promophoto too) so I'd say there were 100-150k images to go through and do this on. Some of the images I've downloaded were quite large, like half a meg, but uploading them back would be small, as most are about 5kb after reducing. Most images aren't that large though. any thoughts? --MECUtalk 19:26, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Fix BJBot NOW

Your bot has recieved complaints on its talk page and it needs to be turned off NOW and have those bugs fixed. —Remember the dot (t) 22:32, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

I am not aware of any current bugs with BJBot. they're some requests for improvement of the way it posts notices but that is all. BJTalk 22:39, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

The problems are:

  1. Notifying the most recent uploader of an image, instead of all uploaders or just the original uploader. Thus, users who have simply reverted image vandalism are being notified instead of the real contributors of the images.
  2. Marking messages on userpages as "minor", making the orange banner not come up, so the user is not informed that they have recieved a message.

These are serious problems with the bot that need to be fixed immediately. I've requested that your bot be temporarily blocked because it continues to make changes with these bugs present. The bot is a good idea, but these bugs need to be fixed before it continues work. —Remember the dot (t) 22:44, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm glad we've got this resolved, thanks. Once again, sorry for being overly upset. —Remember the dot (t) 22:58, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

One other thing: You should probably reply to the messages on BJBot's talk page, so people know that those bugs have been fixed. Just saying "Fixed" below each comment ought to do it. —Remember the dot (t) 23:09, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Without digging into this too much further, I hope you've removed the "minor change" talkpage selection. I got 2 notes on my talkpage about images, and got no notification that I had new messages. I don't know what effect BJBot's "orphaned images" alerts have, but if I hadn't checked my talk page before someone else had said something, I might well have missed the notes entirely. If orphaned images get deleted after a certain period of time, I might have been ::really:: annoyed when I found out what'd happened. Tomertalk 02:27, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Yes, it's been fixed. If you look at Special:Contributions/BJBot you'll see that the bot is no longer marking its contributions as minor. —Remember the dot (t) 07:01, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Bot request

Hi, I Glacious from Dhivehi Wikipedia It have come to my attention that BJBot is urs. I have a request. Could you please tell me what the BJBot does? I wanted the BJBot to work on Dhivehi Wiki. And by the way if u could would you help me create a bot for Our wiki which have specific functions? I just don't know anything about Python the pywikipedia framework. Thanks for ur time!!

--Glacious 16:28, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

In our wiki the templates must be in the left side. but when users create it, it's in the right side. we have to add a little code to the template. Its kinda difficult to add it to all the templates right?

Here's How it works..

We just copy the English template code to make our templates and change the specific places. In the template, these codes are there:

class="infobox" style="width: 20em; align: left; text-align: right; style="float: left; font-size: 90%;" cellspacing="2"

But we have to manually add this part to the template

style="float: left;

So what i would like to do is to make a bot to detect templates without this code, such as in this article. A perfect template with the style code will look like this. Though u dont know Dhivehi language please feel free to check the difference between the two articles. ;)

So will it be any difficulties for u??

Thanks for ur time. Glacious 11:57, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

So would BJBot be able to detect orphaned images and delete them in our wiki?

--Glacious 12:03, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, But there are currently 05 Members who logins and contribute. By the way i'm an Admin and a bureaucrat in the project. I would like to do as much as i can. well if u would like a community talk, it could be done.

Thanks!! Glacious 12:16, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
