Bjørn Skogstad Aamo (born January 21, 1946 in Oslo) is a Norwegian economist, civil servant and politician for the Labour Party. He has been Director of the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway since 1993.[1]

Aamo was appointed chairman of the local Workers' Youth League chapter in Mandal in 1962, and received the degree cand.oecon. in economics in 1964. He was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance 1973–1979 and 1986–1989, and at the Office of the Prime Minister 1990–1993. From 1981 to 1986 and in 1990 Aamo was Director of the Districts Development Fund. He was appointed Director of the Financial Supervisory Authority in 1993. He is married to Eldrid Nordbø.
