[edit] Deleted US Album Sales

Why did someone delete my contribution of Bjork's US Album sales. No one else has bene able to include them. I'm sure there are thousands of Bjork fans that would take interest in knowing her exact US sales. I'm not editing them again only to have some idiot remove the information. THANKS - —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.136.10.51 (talkcontribs) 12:51, 23 May 2007

I don't know who removed them. When were they added? Did you provide a source for the sales figures? If not, then that is probably why they were removed. - eo 16:54, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Questions

Why is there a separate article for the discography when it appears most (if not all) of this information is already on Björk. It is not the Wikipedia convention to put an artist's discography on a separate page. RedWolf 03:41, Mar 26, 2004 (UTC)

Good point. If you want to get rid of it, nominate it on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion. Yours, Meelar 03:43, 26 Mar 2004 (UTC)
If you want to link the albums together, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums. RedWolf 03:45, Mar 26, 2004 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure there is an album titled "Kiss Me - Greatest Hits '98" or something like that, but I haven't managed to find any information about it. Does anyone know what this album is, or if it even exists? Also, is there an alternate version of Medúlla? Icemuon 22:16, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discography on separate page?

I was the one who created this page at the beginning. I thought it would be useful, but now I see how wrong I was. It is better if the discography section is present in the biography article. So, I guess this page should be promoted to be eliminated. What do you think? Luis María Benítez 22:43, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Choose as you wish, but I think it's lengthy enough and detailed enough to have its own article; compare to others on List of discographies to see others that have broken them out separately. I ran across the preexisting Bjork discography while compiling that List page, and didn't think there should be two versions, one in the article and one separate; when I saw the length of the one in the article, I decided it could easily be separated out. Sorry I didn't get a chance to do a proper merge on the two....
One option is to put a list of original albums only (omitting compilations, live albums, singles, videos, etc.) on the main Björk page, with a pointer to the more detailed discography -- compare Duran Duran and Duran Duran discography; many others just have the pointer beneath a discography header. — Catherine\talk 01:42, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I'm all for the above proposal. Her discography with various groups and solo is detailed enough to warrant a page of its own, but it still should be briefly covered in the main article Tiefighter 05:40, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Remove Previous Bands

Despite her being a member of these bands I recommend only her solo material be listed. Any other information should be moved to a page relating to the specific group. Her relation to these groups should be mentioned on her main page though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tastywheat (talkcontribs) 09:03, 15 June 2005

this message was posted long ago, but i agree. its getting too long really. i'm going to move the other band's discographies to their respective pages. -- jeffthejiff 16:57, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
I agree with this too, although I see the above comment is nearly a year old - doesn't look like the move was ever done. - eo 20:44, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Albums and singles column headers

It's great that we have all this chart information, but the wikilinks at the top of all the columns should ideally point to the chart, not the country, or literally the abbriviation (i.e. "UK" should wikilink to either UK Singles Chart or UK Albums Chart). Right now there is a column "PL" which links to PL. What is this supposed to be? Poland? - eo 20:44, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Earth Intruders

"Björk has had three Top 10 singles and seven Top 20 singles in the UK. All of her chart-eligible singles have charted within the Top 40, aside from "Hunter", which was released as Limited edition (instant deletion single) from the Homogenic album."

  • With the track's failure to enter the top 40 after the physical release of the single, shouldn't this info be edited? LoserTalent 23:04, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Probably should, although I believe EI was a download-only single, so that was also limited. Unless physical single was released? I dunno. - eo 23:17, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
The article says the physical single was released on 21 May. — AnemoneProjectors (zomg!) 23:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
