From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bixter is on the west side Shetland Islands, found more than 160 km (100 miles) off the north coast of mainland Scotland.
Bixter is a group of houses in a large reign of area. Council houses belonging to Hjaltland Housing Association & the Shetland Islands Council (S.I.C.), lie next to the main (A971) road. The Bixter Health Center lies opposite to the council houses. Many other homes are scattered around the area.
"C.G.Williamsons" is the main shop in the local area, which has been in business for over 100years. The current owners, brother & sister, Creighton & Marlene Williamson currently own the shop. They are the third generation to own the store. "The reason why we're still here today is that we listen & try our best to understand our customers & their needs." In October 2005, C.G.Willamsons was the only shop in Scotland to fit Cadbury's Centurion Criterion.
